Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract under the laws of Ghana to use Cheapstores. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these requirements.

If you use the Service on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.

To access certain features of Cheapstores, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
• Keep your password secure and confidential.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
• Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

Cheapstores is a digital marketplace platform that connects buyers with local vendors across Ghana. We provide tools for price comparison, trusted vendor verification, and secure payments.

Cheapstores acts as an intermediary. We provide the platform for transactions but are not the seller of record for products listed by independent vendors.

When you purchase an item on Cheapstores:

• You enter into a legally binding contract with the vendor.
• Payments are processed through our secure payment partners.
• Order fulfillment and delivery are handled between you and the vendor according to the listing terms.

To protect both buyers and vendors, eligible orders on Cheapstores are secured with escrow. When you pay for an escrow-protected order, your funds are held by our licensed payment partner rather than sent directly to the vendor.

• Funds are released to the vendor only after you confirm you have received the item, or automatically after the delivery-confirmation window closes without a dispute.
• If an item is not delivered, is significantly not as described, or an order is cancelled before fulfilment, you may open a dispute and request a refund of the escrowed amount.
• Approved refunds are returned to your original Mobile Money wallet or payment method. Vendor payouts of released escrow are sent to the vendor's verified Mobile Money account.
• Cheapstores may mediate disputes and, where appropriate, split, release, or refund escrowed funds based on the evidence provided by both parties.

Escrow does not remove your responsibility to inspect items promptly and to raise any issue within the confirmation window. Some low-value or instant transactions may not be eligible for escrow; this is indicated at checkout.

Vendors may subscribe to a paid plan (for example Starter, Pro, or Business) or use pay-as-you-go access. By starting a subscription you agree to the following:

• Plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, or prepaid weekly for pay-as-you-go, via Mobile Money.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings.
• When you cancel, your plan remains active until the end of the current paid period; we do not provide pro-rated refunds for partial periods unless required by law.
• Plan features, storage limits, and prices may change; we will give reasonable notice of material changes before they take effect.
• Downgrading may reduce limits (for example active listings or media storage); content over the new limit may become hidden until you upgrade or reduce usage.

You may not use Cheapstores to:

• Violate any local, national, or international laws.
• Sell counterfeit or stolen goods.
• Defraud or mislead other users.
• Interfere with the proper working of the Service.

The Cheapstores name, logo, and all content on the platform are protected by intellectual property rights. You may not use our branding without written permission.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect users, vendors, or the platform. You may stop using Cheapstores at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

To the fullest extent permitted by Ghanaian law, Cheapstores and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Service or from transactions between buyers and vendors.

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, except where such exclusions are not permitted by law.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
